Just a Few Things...

So, since I haven't posted all week I'll give a quick update on what I've done. Starting with last Thursday because that is the first day anything interesting happened. My sister went to see a friend all day so it was just my mom and I.. We went out to lunch, just the two of us, at Subway and then went grocery shopping. It was a wonderfully fun time together (with three other daughters and two grandchildren there isn't much one-on-one time.)
And now my favorite moms in film.
Maria...

I'm sarcastic, elastic, and I kick butt

On Friday I watched Dragonheart with my younger sister. I'd forgotten how witty it was.

So instead of calling me "dragon" in your tongue, you're going to call me "dragon" in another tongue?

After it was over Danielle went to bed, but I watched another movie because I couldn't sleep

Love this scene....always wanted to dance randomly down the street like this.
Bells are Ringing is the name of the movie.

This is what comes of NOT posting earlier this week....

I had a whole bunch of stuff to post about....and now I've forgotten...

I do remember that my great uncle came over (down, up?) from Yakima Valley this last weekend and he brought his wife Julie... they just got re-married this last month. It was a sweet time of fellowship with two people who have been brought back to each other and to the Lord.

I know that I had more but apparently it isn't that important.

And in movies this week we have!...
                                                                                                                        "Blithe Spirit"

Delightfully funny character, Madame Arcati
The story about a happily married couple, when the husband begins to be haunted by his wife, who died of a heart attack during a laughing fit recovering from pneumonia. Yes, really!
While having breakfast with his present wife, the ghost of his first wife appears behind her, causing mischief.

Also, in the spirit of "spooky" movies I watched "The Phantom of the Opera"
I love this scene...I've always wanted to go to a real masquerade. (NOT  to be confused as a costume party...)

Makin' Banana Pancakes...and Singin' In the Rain

Not really, as I don't particularly care for bananas. I did however make blue pancakes. And danced outside after the rain
Dani wanted to take pictures of me....However these are edited by me this time....
Oh! It's a jolly 'oliday with Mary!

           Yes... it was necessary

This would be were singing in the rain comes in....

(By the way... I absolutely love this street name)

I'm so very excited!

For awhile now I've been wanting to start my own sort of at home business, and I'm truly on my  way to doing so! I had a little bit of babysitting money saved up last Saturday (I know I should have posted sooner!) so when my family and I went shopping at a few thrift shops around town I was able to pick up a few older books. One of them is actually a first edition so it's worth about $30.

I loved doing the research and finding out all about these old books. One of them is an old log book my dad says they used to use where he works. But I don't think I'll be re-selling that one, as I like to keep a personal journal, and it would make a delightful 'diary'.

Also, last Thursday was my oldest sisters birthday, so we went to coffee in the morning and then took her kids to the near-by park.
