Well, I'm Stephanie, author of, what? I've yet to write it... But that would be one of my life's visions. The other being to own a bookstore some day. A very special and odd little thing it will be.
2.What, to you, forms the essence of a true heroine?
She can have as many faults as humanly possible, but she must be willing to see them and try very hard to improve herself. If she is hard-hearted, I will usually close the book.
3.Share (up to) four heroines of literature that you most admire and relate to.
Anne Elliot in Persuasion. She really is the top on the list for me because she isn't perfect. My favorite scene is when she stays home from the dinner at the Musgroves to watch her nephew. Everyone thinks she is making a sacrifice but in reality that is exactly what she wants to do. Unlike Elinor Dashwood, or Jane Bennet, she has a little bit of selfishness in her and lets others think she is selfless.
4.Five of your favorite historical novels?
I don't have any favorites! I love them all! But I will give you one title, The Mermaid In the Basement by Gilbert Morris.
5.Out of those five books who is your favorite main character and why?
Lady Serafina Trent. She appears tough and cold at first. But you see sides of her that few see when you "meet" her son.
6.Out of those five books who is your favorite secondary character and why?
Septimus Isaac Newton. Lady Trent's father. He also ends up being softer then you expect him to be. I like ow open e is to new tings, and you feel his hunger for the Lord.
7.If you were to plan out your dream vacation, where would you travel to - and what would you plan to do there?
Oh, all over Europe. Though mostly England, Italy, and Ireland respectively for Jane Austen's house, the food, and the scenery.
8.What is your favorite time period and culture to read about?
Either Medieval, Regency, or 1920's-40's, it depends upon my mood.
9.You have been invited to perform at the local charity concert. Singing, comedy, recitation - what is your act comprised of?
Well, I cannot sing. Tat is not something I was blessed wit being able to do. I think maybe I'd offer to write a skit for someone else to perform. It would, of course, be comedic.
10.If you were to attend a party where each guest was to portray a heroine of literature, who would you select to represent?
Mabel Chiltern of An Ideal Husband by Oscar Wilde. She is a funny lady with a witty comeback for everything, and she says it all with a straight face.11.What are your sentiments on the subject of chocolate?
Yes. At all times the answer to "Chocolate?" Must be "Yes!". Especially wen paired with mint or cherries.

(Do you have any idea what you've done adding an optional plural to that?) Well, Jane Austen (of course), Elizabeth Gaskell, L.M. Montgomery, Louisa May Alcott, Alexander Dumas.
13.Besides essentials, what would you take on a visiting voyage to a foreign land?
* For the record, journal, Bible, camera, companion, are essential items.
The perfect wardrobe. I wouldn't want to leave the whole country wit a terrible first impression of myself. The perfect includes three hats. Adorable, yet functionable. (I don't know what they look like yet, I'll know them wen I see them)
14.In which century were most of the books you read written?
19th century. This is also wen my favorite books are written (that seems like a given but maybe you read lots of WW era books, and you make an exception once and read some 200 year old book and it ends up being your favorite, even if you never read another old thing like it. ) Persuasion by Jane Austen and North & South by Gaskell, in case you were wondering.
15.In your opinion, the ultimate hero in literature is…
Something like these men....
John Thornton tops the list because he isn't afraid of people knowing how much he cares for those he loves. He's fair, kind, caring. When he seems harsh, it is really because of ow much he truly cares. And he is a humble man. (Think pre-proposal scene, if you've seen it you know what I mean)
Henry Tilney because he is a good man. Kind, gentle, affectionate with is sister. All that is gentlemanly, plus he as a sense of humor.
16.Describe your ideal dwelling place.
It has three crucial elements. Other ten these tings I don't care.
*I am aware that the literal bike in the picture is indeed very modern, I'm only daydreaming
17.Sum up your fashion style in five words.
Oh boy. Darker (colors). vintage, girly, eccentric, unusual. My usual outfit consists of a T-shirt, cardigan, skinny jeans, and my favorite owl earrings.
18.Have you ever wanted to change a character’s name?
No, to me, reading a characters name for the first time is like being introduced to a real person. I never think of changing an acquaintance's name. However, sometimes I want to tell the author that they got the description all wrong.
19.In your opinion, the most dastardly villain of all literature is...
Cardinal Richelieu in The Three Musketeers by Alexander Dumas. Especially as portrayed by Tim Curry.
20.Three favorite Non-fiction books?
The Bible. Um, really I used to have something against non-fiction because was forced upon me in school. But I ave recently wanted to begin reading biographies, and other such stuff.
21.Your duties met for the day, how would you choose to spend a carefree summer afternoon?
On that swing in my yard, or the window seat upstairs if it is summer showery afternoon.
22.Create a verbal sketch of your dream hat - in such a way as will best portray your true character.
I own my dream hat, It's straw, with a two inch brim just right for keeping the sun off my face. A wide dark ribbon adorns it as well, which is perfect for adding a decorative pin or flower.
23.Share the most significant event(s) that have marked your life in the past year.
My sisters marriage, and my brother-in-laws accident which left him in a coma.
24.Share the Bible passage(s) that have been most inspiring to you recently.
I am always inspired by the book of Ruth.
I have a window seat at the top of the stairs~a dream of mine as well. The book shelves will happen someday...
